We are currently recruiting for a Community Safety Officer to join our friendly and supportive Localities and Community Safety team.  From day one, you will be part of a well-respected and supportive team.  You will also have the flexibility to control your own working day and you will also work on a variety of different cases in different localities.

What you could be doing as one of our Community Safety Officers:

The Community Safety Officer will be responsible for preparing legal documents and gathering evidence for court proceedings.  In doing so, you will check that all processes and procedures have been followed.

As a Community Support Officer, you will present cases during court proceedings and attend relevant multiagency meetings to present case updates.  You will use a broad range of approaches to manage complex cases through to a satisfactory conclusion.

You will take the lead on legal proceedings and tenancy enforcement issues offering support to our wider team regarding anti-social behaviour issues.  You will also build long-standing relationships with local authorities, Police Services and all other partner agencies.

Some things we need from you:

  • Experience of court applications for non-rental cases, such as Anti-Social behaviour, hate crime, fraud.
  • Experience of working in housing would be desirable, however we would also welcome other applicants who have a commitment and passion for social housing. 
  • This will be a role well suited to someone with experience of working closely with third party agencies to tackle complex issues. 
  • We are looking for someone who has experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proactive approach and have the ability prioritise your time to meet timeframes.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and a customer focused approach, understanding the importance of delivering a high standard of service.
  • This role involves some travel across Lincolnshire.  A driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations is essential.
  • This role will require a basic DBS check.
