We are currently recruiting for Customer Engagement Officers to join our team at Platform Housing Group. You will have an opportunity to have a real impact and ensure our customers' voices are heard.
The Customer Engagement Officer will be responsible for enhancing, promoting and managing the involvement of customers in making decisions about their homes and communities, and co-designing the services offered by Platform Housing to put customers at the heart of everything we do.
We are currently recruiting for two fixed term contract roles, with one role due to end on 31st March 2025 and the other no later than April 2025.
What you can expect from the role
The Customer Engagement Officer will work with involved customers to help improve our services and use a range of communication tools to engage effectively with wider communities and external partners.
You will develop relationships with key service areas and departments to embed a customer centric approach, supporting colleagues to effectively engage customers. Key to the role is maintaining a consistent approach to logging customer engagement across the Group in a way that can evidence impact and value.
Part of the role will involve working with Customer panels to carry out reviews of the effectiveness and impact of the customer engagement initiatives and making recommendations for future development.
This is a home-based role with occasional travel to our offices for collaborative team working days. This would be approximately once or twice a month and would likely be in our Birmingham Business Park office. Working in our Worcester office or travel to events may also be required on occasion.
What we are looking for in you
Previous experience of working in a Customer or Community Engagement role.
Experience of facilitating customer engagement initiatives – including leading meetings, focus groups and community events.
Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework relevant to Housing.
Experience of designing effective communication materials for customers.
An ability to communicate effectively with internal or external stakeholders.
Due to the nature of the role the successful applicant will have a DBS check carried out before commencing employment.
The successful applicant will also need to be able to drive and have access to a vehicle due to occasional need to travel to Platform sites.
Some of our great benefits include:
Up to 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) with the opportunity to buy and sell leave
Family friendly policies including generous Paternity, Maternity, Shared Parental and Adoption leave plus 3 days paid Urgent Domestic Leave
