Do you thrive in a high-impact role where you can shape organisational risk culture, drive compliance, and enhance safety?

Are you looking for a unique role where you can help us mitigate the risks on the horizon? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Why Join Us?

At Platform Housing Group, we are proud of our ability to think outside of the box, and we are looking for a strategic and future focused Director of Risk and Assurance with the gravitas to provide expertise and influence decision-making.

In this new and unique role, you will be key to developing our strategic direction for risk management and embedding a safety culture, leading and inspiring our high-performing Risk and Assurance team, including Risk, Compliance, Insurance and Occupational Health & Safety.

In this pivotal role, you will act as the key advisor to the Health & Safety Executive and the Regulator of Social Housing on landlord health & safety matters and ensure regulatory and legal compliance across risk management, assurance, and health & safety.

You will lead on identifying and reporting on emerging risk and assurance trends, taking the strategic lead to manage or mitigate these and drive continuous improvement activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • A strategic leader with significant senior management experience overseeing corporate risk, ideally including Health & Safety and Insurance teams in a customer-focused organisation.

  • Experience of managing senior colleagues in a complex and diverse organisation.

  • Strong understanding of corporate risk management, including regulatory compliance and internal controls inherent to the Housing Sector, construction and maintenance organisations.

  • Proven track record of engaging with Board Members and senior executives to provide guidance and assurance on risk.

  • Experience in working in a regulatory/statutory environment and building relationships with the regulator and other statutory bodies.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex risk data into actionable insights.

  • Relevant qualifications in health & safety (NEBOSH/IOSH) or equivalent.

  • Ability to develop and lead on the embedding of an organisational safety culture.

What’s in it for You?

  • A leadership role where you can shape the future of risk, assurance and safety in a growing organisation.

  • The opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.

  • A dynamic, forward-thinking organisation that values innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Competitive salary, excellent benefits, and career development opportunities.

If you are an accomplished leader with a passion for risk management, assurance and safety we’d love to hear from you!
