This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We’re looking for a talented Project Manager to join our New Homes Delivery team at Platform Housing Group. With an ambitious development pipeline and a strong commitment to sustainable and innovative construction, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality homes across The Midlands.

This is more than just project oversight — you’ll be driving forward a wide range of schemes, including those using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), helping us to future-proof our developments and support our decarbonisation goals.

You’ll be hands-on in monitoring build progress, resolving challenges, keeping projects on track, and ensuring our homes meet Platform’s high standards. Working closely with contractors, quality teams, and internal colleagues across sales and lettings, your role will be critical to ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery.

You’ll oversee a portfolio of development projects. You’ll thrive in this fast-paced environment, you’ll keep up to date with the progress of your schemes - finding solutions to keep to completion timeframes and meet our quality first standards.

This is a permanent, full-time role based from home, with regular travel required to sites and occasional visits to our Birmingham Business Park and Worcester offices.

Internally, this role is known as Project Manager

About You

You’ll bring a blend of technical expertise and strong people skills, able to manage complex build projects while maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders. You’ll, ideally, come from the Housing sector, bringing with you strong stakeholder management skills - liaising with Lettings, Housing, Sales, Asset Management, contractors, consultants, and statutory bodies.

Coming from a housing association or residential development background will be a real advantage — you’ll understand the regulatory context, the importance of building safe and sustainable homes, and the need to balance quality, cost, and community impact. Your insight into how affordable housing is delivered will be invaluable in helping us continue to build thriving communities.

You’ll also have;

  • A recognised construction-related qualification (MCIOB, MRICS, ARB, APM or RTPI), or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience delivering residential new build and refurbishment schemes

  • A solid understanding of development processes, construction regulations, and health and safety standards

  • Familiarity with Homes England grant funding and S106 developments

  • Strong analytical skills to monitor budgets, assess contractors’ performance, and manage risk

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to find practical solutions in fast-moving environments

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle (or equivalent travel arrangements) are essential due to the travel requirements of the role.

Join us and find your purpose at Platform!

Working with us is more than just a job, you will be joining an amazing organisation that values you and your contribution, and where you can truly make a difference and change people’s lives.

You will join the largest social housing association in the Midlands. We're much more than just houses; we build homes, strong communities, and make a real and positive difference to the lives of our customers.

We recognise the unique and individual needs of people, so if you are interested in this role but would like to explore a different way of working to the standard Monday to Friday, 9-5 approach, then please highlight this on your application or discuss it with us at the interview stage.  After all, we want to attract the best people to work for us and we know that one size does not fit all.

Platform is a great place to work, we offer lots of opportunities for you to get involved, share ideas and shape what we do - from networking groups through to fun community and social events.  This is an exciting time to join us, that will provide you with real exposure to the wider dynamics of a truly modern housing association that will play a major part in delivering our 5-year corporate strategy.
